DataBar-14 (RSS-14) Barcode Symbol
DataBar-14 is the mostly used member of the GS1-DataBar family of barcode symbols. The old name for this barcode is RSS-14 standing for Reduced Space Symbology. This barcode is designed to be read by an omnidirectional scanner, such as retail slot scanner at the POS. Main advantage of it is the size and possibility to use the same GTIN for both individual retail item (each) and logistical unit (pack).
